The Home for Divine Mercy currently provides a safe and secure environment for sixty girls. However, the program faces significant challenges that need immediate attention. Currently, the Home for Divine Mercy has only one bathroom, which presents a serious challenge in ensuring the comfort and privacy of the students. To address these issues, Heart Sounds aims to raise $5,000 for the installation of ventilated improved pits (VIPs). This upgrade will greatly improve the living conditions for the girls and ensure they have access to basic sanitation facilities.
The Home for Divine Mercy: Empowering Futures
The Home for Divine Mercy was established in 2017 with the mission of empowering young women through education and skill development. The vocational school provides a variety of programs, including sewing, knitting, and hairdressing, equipping young women with vital skills for their futures and encouraging their independence. We are proud to announce that the Home for Divine Mercy has successfully graduated 26 young women with vocational certificates. These certifications not only recognize their hard work and dedication but also open the door for employment opportunities. Learn more about the project here.
