John is a former refugee and one of the more than four thousand Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan resettled in the United States in early 2000s. He recently graduated with an MPH degree from Regis College, Class of 2022. Prior to his graduation, John completed his practicum project with the Heart Sounds US, Inc. by investigating public health issues affecting rural population in Kabale village, Western Uganda. He is passionate about developing an evidence-based solutions to the public health problems, influence health policy, monitor, and analyze public health threats particularly in developing countries. John holds Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health (BSPH) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. John currently works at Boston Scientific Corporation as Healthcare Business Process Analyst and formerly worked as Social Worker for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), where he assisted minorities and economically disadvantaged population gain access to health insurance such as MassHealth, Medicare, Medicaid, and other affordable private health insurance.
